Presbyterian Women

PW Groups are envisaged as women’s fellowships in which women are encouraged to become Christians and to become Christ-like. In addition to supporting mission at home and overseas, each group is to seek ways of actively reaching women in its own area for Christ.

Abbey PW meet on 3rd Wednesday at 7.45pm from September to May.  Our membership is around 50 each evening, with women of all ages meeting for worship, fellowship and an interesting programme including guest speakers.  All ladies are very welcome to attend.

Please get in touch if you would like more information or would like to come along to our next session.

Oasis

Oasis gives an opportunity for those free during the day, often retired, to meet for friendship, fellowship and support. On Monday mornings tea, coffee and refreshments – as well as conversation – are available from 10am.

This is followed by a varied programme of optional activities, which includes a monthly speaker. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the coffee area is also open from 1.30-3.30pm for folks to drop in. No charge is made for refreshments or activities, but donations can be made.

Please get in touch if you would like more information or would like to come along to our next session.

Men United

Men Utd: We have a monthly meeting  -usually 1st Wednesday of the month – specifically for men of all ages…more of the “all” would be welcome!

We frequently meet at 6:30pm for a meal, cooked by guest chef s[suggested donation of £7 to cover cost], before going to hear our guest speaker at 7:30pm.  Come to both or just one!  Speakers have covered topics such as Angling and conservation; Rugby [P Marshall]; Politics [G Donaldson], the secret listeners of Gilnahirk; 10,000 green bottles [Ok, only 8000 and no they weren’t all green]; LIFT; MAF, Desert Island Disc; Sciatica and Peregrine falcons to name but a few…

We do try to have a varied programme; we meet with God and amazingly we have some craic as they say.  In June is the legendary day out when we really let our hair down – if we’ve any left and then finish the season together…eating!

Go on, give it a go and come along…
