Rounded Rectangle:

· Those who we are missing in YF from previous years would come back to join us in fellowship

· The young people who do come every week will continue to be inspired by God

· Those starting new schools, colleges or jobs will have settled in comfortably and we all can continue showing Jesus through our daily lives

· Thank God for the brilliant young people we have and their variety of talents

Holly  had a very busy summer working with young people in Reach Newtownabbey , GLUE at St Jude’s and Summer Serve in Monkstown.

Nathan started the summer as part of the crew at Summer Madness. He then helped out at Summer Serve, Ballyclare.

Justine went further afield to Turkey working in a refugee school teaching the Bible, English Language and sports. Further outreach in the parks at night was an amazing experience, if not a tad scary at times!

In August Justine and John

attended Route 66 which celebrated its 10th birthday this year. They had fun being involved in services, smaller seminars, social activities at night and relaxing in café 66.

August also saw us welcome Emma McCracken back from her time working in Hartlepool. She is now in Antrim Hospital and it is great to have her back at YF when she gets a night off from saving lives!

More recently, Lydia went to the Making A Difference weekend in Coleraine, organised by PCI Youth and speaker Michael Wylie.

Text Box: I Dared to Call Him Father by Bilquis Sheikh
This book is about a woman from Pakistan of noble birth. Left by her husband she moved to her family estate to live out the rest of her days in luxury. But deep down she could not find peace. Searching in the Quran she found references to the prophet Jesus. She

turned to the Christian bible to see if it could shed more light on this mysterious figure. She began to question, was Islam still the right way for her? Could God be known more personally? Her decision would change her life forever.

I learnt from this book that

God loves you no matter what religion you come to him from or what background you have. Many people have different ways of coping ,even as Christians, and God speaks to us all in different ways.
