Two women’s groups within the Presbyterian Church, PWA and YWG, have joined together. The new group is Presbyterian Women (PW).
Our membership fluctuates between 50 and 60 members each evening and is open to all women of any age, We commence each evening with a time of praise and worship and then have guest speakers to talk to us. Over the years we have had many interesting, challenging and thought-provoking speakers.
During the session we continued to support our missionaries and deaconesses by prayer and with practical actions. We continue to fill containers with medical supplies for Malawi.
As well as our monthly meetings we also enjoy our annual Day Out which is usually on the 1st Saturday in June. Last year we went to the Flower Festival in Bannside Presbyterian Church where we enjoyed a lunch, then some ‘Retail Therapy’ in the new Outlet Centre in Banbridge. Then on to Newcastle to a lovely meal in the Avoca Hotel.
